Botox Cosmetic, Xeomin and Dysport
These injectable aesthetic medications are used to temporarily block the muscles that cause frown lines between the eyebrows, furrow lines on the forehead and crow’s feet around the eyes. Treatments are highly effective and patient satisfaction is typically high. Dr. Croland also performs more advanced techniques to treat: “gummy” smile, lip wrinkles, platysma bands of the neck, masseter muscles for Bruxism ⁄ TMJ.
Botox Cosmetic, Xeomin and Dysport treatments take 10-15 minutes and results typically last for 3–5 months.
Dermal fillers are another popular type of non-surgical aesthetic treatment that provides a smooth, long lasting correction of facial wrinkles, skin folds and sunken cheeks. Dermal fillers are useful to enhance lips and provide an overall more youthful appearance through the replacement of soft-tissue volume loss.
Dr. Croland uses several brands of dermal fillers, including Juvederm, Radiesse, Belotero Balance, Restylane and Perlane.
Like Botox, Xeomin and Dysport, dermal fillers are a minimally invasive alternative to more invasive cosmetic procedures. The results of typical dermal fillers will last anywhere from three months to several years depending on the brand that is being used and the location of the treatment. Dr. Croland will help you to determine the best type of dermal filler to meet your needs.
Dr. Croland offers the “VI Peel” and the “Perfect Peel” to patients who aim to improve the overall quality, texture and tone of their skin. These peels can reduce age spots, acne scars, and hyperpigmentation. They can also soften fine lines and wrinkles by stimulating collagen to attain a more youthful appearance.
In addition to improving your appearance, chemical peels can also function as a preventative treatment by exfoliating damaged skin as well as precancerous skin cells. Chemicals are also useful in treating acne in patients as young as 12 years old. The VI and Perfect peels are safe to use on a wide range of skin types and colors. While just one of these medical grade chemical peels will provide significant improvement, the best results are seen after a series of 2 to 6 treatments.
