Your First Medical Weight Loss Visit

This is the visit following your initial nursing intake. Please plan to be at the clinic for about 2 hours for this important visit.  We will review your personal health, family health, and dietary histories and your medical exam will be performed. We will discuss the results of your health and diet histories, your physical exam, your lab test and other exams which may have been performed.  Based on this information, we will recommend your weight management treatment options. In addition, you will participate in a 30-40 minute class and will learn about the weight loss, transition and maintenance phases of the program, as well as other interesting information. You will receive a program booklet that contains a summary of the information presented.

• We will review your personal health, family health, and diet histories
• A medical examination will be performed
• We will discuss the results of your health and diet histories, your physical exam, your lab test
• We will recommend a weight management plan and develop a diet and activity schedule
• You will participate in a 30-40 minute class where you will learn about the weight loss, transition and maintenance phases of the program. We will also review the common treatments utilized in this program.
• You will schedule a follow up appointment

This visit includes a 30-40 minute educational presentation. As this requires an environment with minimal distraction, we can not allow children to be present for these visits. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience.
